Week 6 of Peer Teaching

Week 6 of Peer Teaching

Displaying 20140502_093902.jpg  In the final peer teaching lesson of the semester we made a earth out of shaving cream and paint.  While this without a doubt was the easiest lesson of the semester it was also one of the funnest.  It allowed the class to cut loose and have a good time after a very stressful semester.  To make this we spread shaving cream out like cake frosting then we poured paint over it and mixed the paint with our fingers.  After the paint was mixed to our liking we put our circle on the cream and pressed down.  We then peeled off the circles and then laid them down like this.  This is one of the best lessons of the semester.
I would use this lesson in a kindergarten class, it would be a fun way for the kids to learn about earth day.  First i would have the kindergarteners learn about earth day and why it is so important.  Next i would explain, how to make the earths then we would make them.  Also i would have the students make a ocean using colors like blue, and green and purple.  Then i would take pictures of these art works because they dont really hang up or hold together well.  Then finally we would go outside and plant a tree.
