Hidden Safari

Displaying 20140228_100349.jpg  In this project we made a jungle animal that we drew in blue, and then we hid it behind shapes drawn in red and orange.  As you can see from picture, the picture all of the squares and triangles.  Behind all of that there is a tiger.  I really liked this lesson because it boosted my overall confidence of how well i can draw.  I think this was a very good lesson and would have to find a way to use it in my classroom
In my class i would tie this hidden safari into a lesson over the continents, for each different continent they would draw a different animal from each area, and hide it in the pictures like i have here.  I would make this encompassing lesson, that you could use this entire year, as you cover each lesson.  I will use this lesson in my classroom, if i teach at roughly a middle school level because i think at that age they could handle the complexity of drawing behind things.
